Biography
Born in New York City, 1971, KEN MARTIN is now gaining momentum and recognition as a fine art photographer. He has spent years developing his talents in various areas which include fashion, product and commercial photography. His constant search for a subject became the practice that lead his sense of focus on to intriguing perspectives, making his output what it is today. Ken is now sought after by local Artist, Craftsmen and Showrooms at the New York Design Center to expose their work in his certain light.
Growing up, Ken’s interest in the art scene was sparked by artist like Keith Haring - owner of the iconic POP SHOP in SoHo, photographers like Richard Sandler who captured life in its rarest form and Annie Leibovitz, considered one of America's best portrait photographers with her trademark use of bold colors and pose; but it was life’s journey and travels that place Ken en route to his calling, and fueled his dedication to photography.
In the early 90’s Ken moved to New Mexico where he worked in the Taos Ski Valley. On his own time he spent it learning his camera and taking pictures of landscapes, sunsets, the bold clouds, anything that called out to him. It was there where he found his passion.
